Cabinetry, doors and drawers
Our cabinetry is handmade by highly skilled cabinet-makers, using traditional methods combined with cutting edge technology. This ensures our cabinets are of the highest quality and imbued with heritage and soul.
Our 19mm, oak veneered and solid lipped carcasses are of the strongest construction. All of our cabinet frames are joined using traditional dovetails joints to ensure strength throughout. Our doors at 30mm think are among the thickest around and are swung on traditional butt hinges.
Typically, our drawer boxes are in solid oak
dovetails, but other timber species can be used to suit different carcass/counter finishes. We also use the best Blum soft-close drawer runners as standard. All stock, profiles and mouldings used are machined to our preferences, ensuring total control of the materials and how things are made.
Our unique method of construction and design creates a quality of cabinetry that stands the test of time. Middleton kitchens are made as pieces of furniture and the result is a stunning environment in which to cook, live and enjoy.

Hand painting
We believe that the paint finish should enhance the
craftsmanship of our kitchens and cabinets. Which is why we only use paint from Mylands of London.
They’re the oldest paint maker in the country and are still owned and run by its founding family 130 years later. Their range of paint and wood finishes deliver something very special to our clients homes. Their paints are hardwearing, water resistant and practical which is important in our busy homes.
Our kitchens are sealed and primed in our workshops before being beautifully finished on sites with three coats of paint meticulously applied by our Master Painter.
Due to the hand finished nature of our cabinets, a simple and inexpensive way to ensure the kitchen looks it’s best for the long term is with our repainting service. This service can be employed every couple of years to ensure the kitchen looks great for the long term. Also, when colour trends suggest a change to a new shade or a
client would like a look overhaul, this is easily and inexpensively achieved with our hand painting service.
Colour Choices
The exquisite Mylands’ ‘Colours of London’ range is the perfect complement to our cabinetry. We also have a range of Middleton signature colours which we have developed over the years to inspire at our showroom barns. Of course, you’re free to choose your own bespoke colour. Some clients and interior designers alike come with an idea of their chosen colour scheme. Working with our dedicated colourist at Mylands, we can colour match or create any colour you desire.
Appliances
We work with all major and luxury appliance brands and can source a wide range of products for your project. We can supply Aga, Sub-Zero Wolf, Lacanche, Gaggenau, Faber, Siemens, Liebherr, Fisher and Paykel to name a few. With our breadth of knowledge across the brands we can incorporate the best solutions into your bespoke kitchen design. Jasper Middleton, our Creative Director, has a special love for the iconic Aga and we are proud to be an authorised showroom and consider ourselves Aga kitchen specialists.
Sinks
We work with luxury British sink manufacturers such as Shaws and Villeroy&Boch on our bespoke kitchen commissions. Our personal approach means that we can advise on which sink fits best with your lifestyle; be that washing large Aga trays or muddy boots! We know that the little details are what makes your kitchen truly bespoke.
Taps
We use taps from luxury makers such as Perrin and Row of Mayfair, and Quooker in a range of bespoke finishes. Selecting the appropriate quality of tap with the correct weight and feel is a key component to completing your bespoke arrangement be that traditional or contemporary. This attention to detail means that the finish of your tap is considered in conjunction with other finishes across the project.
Counter tops
Our bespoke kitchens are finished with an exquisite collection of stone and wooden countertops. Collaboratively we have worked with the same family run stonemasons since our beginnings and we can source slabs directly from quarries around the world. We have a personal love for natural stone across the spectrum of granite and marble families. We can also supply credible man-made alternatives including Silestone, Caesarstone and Radianz. We also supply and fit beautifully figured timber counter tops in a range of hardwoods such as Oak, Elm and Ash.
Ironmongery
We only ever use hand-forged handles, be they contemporary solid Bronze pulls or period antique brass handles, cast from originals using the lost wax process. We understand that the detailing of elements such as the ironmongery gives your kitchen its personality and differentiates one kitchen from another.
